Great Discussion of Employment Numbers

I can't help but think about this in relation to the Attorney General scandal. There we see one of the formerly neutral branches of the government being blatantly politicized by Republicans intent on establishing a permanent power strucutre. Should we expect any less from other branches of the government?

It's a well known fact that the President is always blamed or credited for economic news. What better way to maintain your standing than to put some cronies in key positions to massage those numbers.

Maybe I don't understand enough about how these numbers are derrived, etc, but this all seems terribly suspicious to me.
