I live in Houston, Texas. We are expecting hurricane Ike to make landfall on Saturday. But, we're getting ready for the storm tonight and tomorrow.
I and Mr$. Bonddad are fine. Out house is built to withstand a category 4 hurricane and Ike will at most be a category 3. But, we're shutting everything down until Monday or Tuesday.

Sure, the out house is fine, but how long can you sit there with Mr$ on your lap, and the dogs won't like the smell...

Yes, like Michelle says, stay safe. We look forward to your upcoming articles, and photos of the dogs. I'm on the west coast and will be watching Ike closely.

The house may be fine, but you may want to find a place to stay outside the immediate area anyways. Be safe and don't try to tough it out unnecessarily.
